Since our global brand opened its first Starbucks store in the U.S. in 1971, we’ve been striving to create a warm and friendly ‘third place’ in between home and work, and the same goes for our stores in Australia.
Our vision is for our stores to be a place where our community can enjoy our tasty menu, comfy furniture, peaceful ambient music, accessible power points and clean stores – all while using the fast Wi-Fi that keeps you connected to your workplaces, schools, family and friends.
Connected since 2002
Wi-Fi was first introduced to stores across the globe in 2002. In 2010, Wi-Fi was made free for everyone (including for those of us Down Under). Today, thousands of Starbucks customers across the country settle into our stores, coffee in-hand, and use them as makeshift offices.
