Signing up for coffee perks is simple
Wondering how to sign up? Joining Starbucks Rewards only takes a few minutes. Once you download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, simply sign up using your email address and phone number. Then, you’re ready to make your first order.
TIP: Don’t forget to add your birthday when you sign up. This way we’ll know when to send you a free hand-crafted beverage on your special day! If you skipped it, don’t stress. Simply navigate to your account (the profile icon in the top left), then add it in here.
Redeeming Starbucks® Rewards ‘stars’
Redeeming your stars is as simple as sipping away on your favourite blended beverage. You could even do both at the same time. Read on to discover how you earn ‘stars’, what you can redeem them on and a few other handy things to know about our coffee perks program.
How to earn redeemable ‘stars’
No surprises here. Ordering your go-to Dirty Chai Iced Shaken Espresso (or any beverage for that matter) and scanning your Rewards card is how you’ll earn stars. Every hand-crafted beverage is equal to one star. So, if you buy coffee for the whole office, you’ll receive stars for every drink!
Using Starbucks® Rewards on drinks, food and merchandise
Looking to redeem your stars? Simply open the app, head to the ‘Rewards’ tab down the bottom (look for the star!) and voilà – you’ll see your Rewards balance. You can also access your stars from the home screen, too. Once you reach nine stars, show the barcode instore or click ‘redeem rewards’ when you’re ordering via the app.
Rewards members also get complimentary exclusive access to new coffee releases, limited-time beverages and our very own merch range. All of this for FREE.
Did you know you can also order food with the Starbucks® Rewards app? Our all-day bites menu is where you’ll find delicious lunches like baguettes, toasties, rolls, wraps and paninis. Feeling like something sweet? We’ve got treats like cookies, slices and donuts too.
Do Starbucks® Rewards expire?
You might also be wondering if Starbucks® Rewards expire. Once you’ve collected nine stars and earned a free coffee, you’ll have 12 months to redeem it. If it’s your birthday, you can enjoy a free beverage until the end of the month!
TIP: If you’ve banked rewards from using a Starbucks Card overseas, you can continue using the card in Australia too. That way, you won’t lose any of your benefits.
